Olives Picking near Nablus, in area C/B that has had their olive trees
expropriated by israeli settlement.
We will organize 1 day event the first or second week of the harvest
season in Palestine, that will start with picking and end with
entertainment and dinner. Lunch and constant supply of water
will be provided as well.
We will be there to help the farmers and help them to pick
as many olives as possible during the day, as Israeli security
would not let them to come other time to finish their picking.
PROGRAM to be confirmed precisely:
8:00 - 8:30am
Collect volunteers from center city of Nablus and drive them
to the cooperative
8:30 - 9:00am
Welcome speech by Al'Ard representative and
head of the cooperative.
9:00am - 9:30am
Transport to the proximity of the expropriated land,
from where we walk 5 minutes to the trees.
9:30am - 12:00 Olives picking
12:00 - 12:30 Lunch in the nature
12:30 - 17:30 Olives picking
17:30 - 18:00 Back to the cooperative
18:00 - 19:00 Dinner
19:00 - Evening program
The exact date is to be confirmed, as we wait for the cooperative
to confirm when it will be OK to collect the olives upon receiving
a permission to approach the land from israeli administration
that usually does not allow us to collect olives more than 1 day.
This is the reason why we need to gather as many volunteers as
possible to be able to help the farmers to collect as much olives as
possible.
